The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

i was just thinking. What can we expect from the christmas day show. Will it be the show we are used too. Half time. Ramble and other things like that. I have the feeling that it will not happen.
Also. Even though chris has announced the show is pre recorded.
Will carrie and dom be on. Because of they are there for news and sport.

Can we expect the features we are used too and love. Or can we expect lots of music. Less speaking. Or can we expect it too be like 15 min podcast segments with music in between. Anyone with any views. Because i'm in 2 minds weather it'll be worth listening too.

Why don't you start listening, and if you don't like it, stop?

I imagine it will be a bit "flat" somehow, with the "pretend" opening of Xmas pressies, fake laughter, etc. But I will still listen anyway.

Without wishing to be cantankerous and unduly mardy, who knows what the xmas show will be like before it's actually been broadcast. Have a listen, then give a damn good critique if you've got nothing else to do on the 25th.

Scathing bad mood brought to you in asociation with night work. :(

Well, to be fair, judging from past experiences of "recordings", they ain't great.

Try and get some zzzz's.

Will try, but have to try and turn my sleep pattern around as I'm working nights on xmas eve and am fortunate enough to have my son with me on xmas day. Am planning on sleeping at work on xmas eve so I can be wide awake for santa's arrival!!

I spend most of my work time on here so I get paid for chatting to you lot! Now if only they'd let me work from home....

Working from home for me would essentially mean being un-employed!! Whenever I pull that trick it's usually Jeremy Kyle and 6 pints for lunch in The Greyhound!!

Is it too much to ask of a company for a job that starts at 12ish and finishes at 3ish where I can work from anywhere I choose via a PDA or something and get a nice healthy salary for it? Just under 6 figures would be nice as I'm not greedy.

Jeremy Kyle? Do you breastfeed your lad as well? :-)

Now I might be a bit chunky but I'm not * up!! Can't beat a bit of Jeremy Kyle to make you feel great about yourself!!

Oooh I want that for my birthday so I can record the new years show.

Anyone fancy buying it for me, it's only £200, that's £100 per present if I only get one.

Hmm 20 regulars that's a river each which is nothing really isn't it. Go on you know you all want to!

Its great, I borrowed my friend's for a bit and its nice to be able to listen to the breakfast show at a more 'student breakfast' time :D

Plus you can skip the songs (and birthday corner ;))

I like the idea of skipping some of the songs and rewinding bits but as I have said before on her I think birthday corner is, from an idea point of view, one of the funniest things on radio.

Yeah I don't mind it as much as some people on here do, I love the clash of ego and being told what to do by the BBC :D

It's an even better jingle than 'One Road Travel', and that took some beating.

An old favourite of mine is still:

Lets play the game that will make you think:
'Who is millionaire or The Weakest Link'
Prizes to be won or fun for everyone
You can play it when you're old or even when you're young
It's time for you to win some stuff
Chart CDs or office guff
Some cakes or buns or marzipan
If you can guess who is our Celebrity Tarzan!!

OR...

It's back again and it's still dead tough
If you don't get it today you'll end up in a huff
Do you know the voice? You never know you might!
You can phone and have a go but you'll never get it right!
But if you do, you might just win
Some cabbages or a pedal bin
Some knives and forks or a frying pan
It really is annoying - Celebrity Tarzan!

And Topher: I see your 'One Road Travel' and raise you 'Yesterdays Weather'. As a feature - that was promised long term success.

I REALLY enjoyed the show. I was in stitches all morning which distracted me from the mele of kids opening presents and the in-laws visiting!
The panto was hilarious! Secret Santa had me in fits of laughter and the music was brilliant!
