I've often wondered this question - How long can Chris Moyles last?
Imagine a week without this humerous souls' witty converse.
No Chris - No team.
No team - No point.
No doubt Chris would move on - But what makes him so brilliant is Radio 1..
..what makes Radio 1 so brilliant is Chris Moyles..
..THEY NEED EACH OTHER.
So, long may this partnership last for many years to come.
IMAGINE LIFE AFTER CHRIS MOYLES!!
Merry Chris'tmas everyone.

It's quite symbiotic, however, I think Chris would be fine any place.

chris moyles will go when chris moyles wants too go is my view.
Basically. I think that. Chris. Jo whiley. And scott mills will not go. I would of said edith but i think with her pregnency. This will give someone else a chance. Maybe it'll be sara cox. Maybe someone new. But these three will not go for the following reasons.
1. They bring in high viewing figures. All 3 have been on there slots for near 3 years now.
2. They are loved by there respected audience.
3. Why change a winning formula.

I have one other view that chris will go when he is ready. Is that he can probably get what he wants for the following reason:-

Who is one of chris's bosses? A certain person called ben cooper. Who also happened too be chris's early breakfast producer and drive time producer till 1999.

So i think that chris is here for a very long time.

He'll go when the listening figures drop to such a level that the station decide a fresh voice is needed. Not for a long while in my opinion. Other than that he could get the sack for saying something outrageous that the BBC couldn't possibly stand by him on, but I think he is too shrewd and tuned in (sorry pun!!) for that to happen.

It's all about figures in TV or radio, not who you know, although that of course helps to a degree.

Wireman2004, is your comma key broken so that you have to use the full stop instead?

How many times is this thread topic going to be resurrected? it pops up regularly, and the answer is always the same - whats the point of speculating? While the show is good and he is enjoying it, it's likely to continue - but if he gets a better offer he'd be off. But knowing how he feels about his job, it would have to be a damn good offer I reckon.

Dunno, don't that Radio1 have a demographic to aim towards. If Chris was getting 10M listeners but they were all over 30 then Radio1 would have to move him probably to a different station. The trouble is it's very deifficult getting acurate listening figures for under 16's and as time goes on "the kids" will not be wanting to listen to what their parents were listening to.

Dunno about that either, he wouldn't leave while he's doing so well I think it would take Radio1 removing him from the Breakfast show for him to consider going elsewhere unless we're gonna enter the realm of fantasy and the Sultan of Brunai wanted him for £10M a year, then maybe.

If Chris's show was getting 10m listeners with an average age of 35 I don't believe that the BBC would move him in favour of someone who would get 4.5m listeners with an average age of 18. Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think they're quite that thick.

You have very little of any thing like a redeeming feature in your personality do you ?

You moan about people having a bit of fun with the World domination thing, and then you perversely continue in your picky prick game ?

Lighten up please ?

Hes prickly? He needs to lighten up? Paint him green, hang a few baubles and fairy lights on him then. Should liven him up.

Haha, if I stopped being pedantic, you'd all think I was ill.

Fairy nuff.

Chris said in his book that if was ever to leave Radio 1 he'd like to think he can just pick the show up and take it with him.

Theoretically I think he probably could - but where to? Because the show as it is wouldn't hold up with constant commercials every five minutes.

I wrote a reply to this earlier and it's not here. I was doing something else at the time and may have closed it without posting it but anyway it was brilliant. So brilliant was it in fact that I can't bring myself to post it again so you'll just have to take my word for it.

It was to do with target audiences and market share and stuff like that.
