I think most people who don't like Airplane don't really 'get it'. Same with the python movies.

A mate at uni watched Airplane, then said he didn't like it cause the plot was 'too cliche'd'...

I am smiling because I have had lots of zzzz's last night, and am feeling much more positive today. I've got a face mask for my currently spotty face, which I am hoping to sort out over the weekend. :-)

You've wasted half the day in bed. Dreadful.

It's my Birthday Party this week. (right thread)

Oh and I had a great weekend spending £200 in Tesco's, took the dog for a walk in the park, cooked a huge roast dinner with everything and then had a nap and woke up in time for Top Gear - meanwhile - my desert had finished and I ate it whilst watching TG.

Lovely

they are, indeed, similar to an Icelandic idea, except Icelanders feel some bizarre need to jump into freezing water at the end.... our local hot pools are hot tubs on different levels, with different temperatures. They are just this side of Heaven. :-) :-)

The cold water at the end idea isn't so bizarre, the idea is to close your pores after having them all opened and cleansed by the hot water. It's very good for the skin, better than any expensive miracle creams or lotions, and if you live somewhere cold and snowy (like the kinds of places these bathing traditions originate), going out straight after a hot bath or sauna will make you feel freexing cold, having a cold plunge first will make you feel much warmer.
