That's because unlike when Chris is on where the news starts in time for 7am, when Scott is on the news starts at 7am. That's planned and not a case of Greg James mis-timing.

Why do you think that Adam? All the people who have said negative things have qualified them. What is it exactly about what he is doing now that is "great"?

I'm not here to defend the presenter - but to go from student radio, to radio 1, when it takes other people a serious amount of time - this is a) an acheivement b) a hell of risk to BBC Radio 1. Well done to him, i'm sure it's a lot of pressure to perform and get everything right, and of course people will say negative things about his style - but clearly the station that he works for sees Greg as a future higher level R1 Presenter. Both Scott Mills and Chris Moyles have both worked on the early morning show - and where knew etc - however they had more experience before Radio 1 gave them a call to ask them to work for the Station.

Now some people who maybe want to work in Radio, dont like his style and will naturally want to say bad things about him. Now im sure they are all green, but I think Greg needs to be given a chance to develop and iron out any problems he might have with the show etc.

I do agree with everything you said there Adam, but none of it makes what he is currently doing "great". At the moment, he sounds what he is - inexperienced, a bit tentative, slightly apprehensive and feeling his way. R1 obviously thins this will develop into "great", and given the chance (which I hope he will be) maybe it will, but it isn't there yet, not by a mile.

well first of all he is not doin "his show" .. so relax another day and wait for monday morning...

but - i've just think he is great to listen... the show's got a great flow... he is really great with listeners... quite natural and they have always a laugh with him... and i think you can hear how much he enjoys his new job.. so ... i think he is a absolute talent and does already better then j&j, edith b. and sara cox...

I would argue the bit about being better than JK and Joel, but I think so far his style has been a bit 'meh', which kinda doesn't give me a reason to like, nor dislike him. Which straight away puts him above Edith or Sara Cox.
