She actually said she would. If I could think of a reliable way of running it in a way that would be accessible, moderated and cost-effective given the popularity of the site, I would. Obviously running a webchat for a smaller site is more easily manageable.

Is it not just a case of creating a dedicated chat room with a password. Then give out said password to only a select few invitees, to prevent chaos and general bonkersness in the room.

Well, perhaps Ballbags "select few" could be a significant number in reality. If there was massive interest in joining in, perhaps you could decide what the numbers should be, and run a forum competition or draw or something to determine who would be in it. And furthermore, the people who are able to participate could also be given questions to ask by other members who weren't lucky enough to be chosen. That would keep it manageable in size, but be inclusive for the forum members.
