The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Please, please, please will you cut your vacation short and return. I can't take any more of the puerile Mills and stupid Laura. Chappers is OK, but the other two are embarrassingly bad.

I used to like Laura..... now I think she is very annoying. I still like Chappers though and Mills has his moments, despite the childishness.
Moyles can be childish too, but his style is so much better, and its obviously not as contrived as the Mills show.

And if I hear Matt Damon's name once tomorrow the radio goes off (or at least over to radio 2 until Mills plays a record.)

Stop Wingeing its a radio show !

I think Scott is very good, and I am enjoying the shows, he does try harder than Chris, that is evident, but it's still not as funny, but still very good.

I will admit to laughing a lot this morning at the attempt to be childrens entertainers in a nursery - mainly because it reminded me of the act that came to baby Yudster's nursery earlier this year who got probably the worst heckling of his life from a group of three and four year olds. It was brilliant watching this poor bloke physically wither....... but you shouldn't underestimate an audience of small children - they listen, and if they don't agree with what you are saying or think its stupid, by heck will they tell you, in no uncertain terms!

I listened to this idiot at about 7.15 today, and he was talking about how was he editing some gossip column today, and then went on to read an article from a paper about a DJ somewhere being sacked for cross dressing.

I then turned on again exactly an hour later (by mistake) and he spoke about how was he editing some gossip column today, and then went on to read an article from a paper about a DJ somewhere being sacked for cross dressing - I kid you not.

Even that annoying woman who laughs laughed in the same places - I couldn't believe it!

Why anyone would want to listen is beyond me..back to my iPod in the morning until Moyles is back, and radio 2 for drivetime.

How to present the Scott Mills show...

1) Say "amazin'" alot
2) Ask Laura to scream a fake laugh every 10 seconds
3) Say "Seriously" alot
4) Buy a "practical jokes for 5 years olds" book, and use this as material every day

I was in a shop in London a while ago about 12pm, and Chappers and Laura were filming material for the radio show. When I had to listen to the Mills show at 5pm, he played the film footage claiming it was live!

Idiot!

You also need to have "a lot of people phoning up" because they want to hear yesterdays "hilarious" feature again.

Even better if you can get one of them on air. It makes it sound more realistic.

A friend once rung in for something on the Mills show. A few weeks later she got a call and was basically told "she sounds hot" and that would she like to record a "flirt divert" message - mmmm, wonder how many others are fake?

Most things in the Media are faked for a variety o reason but mainly because if you don't know (or care that it's faked) it gets the desired effect. A mate of mine (who was on One Road Travel just before they took it off) was on a detatchment to some BBC Department up in Manchester and because of her age she (and her friends) were asked to record some of the sound bites from the one big weekend in Preston. My mate had to say she'd just seen the Scissor Sisters and they were amazing. She did it in a voice studio and they added crowd noise afterwards. They got a bunch of them done that day.

The reason was that most people at the One Big Weekend were drunk and incoherant or it was too noisy or they backgorund crowd noise was too noisy/quiet.

I've recorded things for the BBC station my mate works for. I had to pretend to be a competition winner to be played in a sweeper. I wasn't a stooge or anything, I was just recorded saying something like "Oh that's great thank you so much" or something like that..

It's (mostly) all fake.

FAC - Damn, not allowed to do that anymore are we, well it is one so there....

No worries, I was able to use it :) Show is up, a[…]
