Paul Weller was good last night too... interesting to hear he was influenced by the Beatles.

Er, no, thats not what I meant ( at least, I don't think it could be because I have no idea what you're talking about....!) - I just meant that the influence of the Beatles on The Jam and Paul Weller particularly is such an integral and well-documented part of his musical background, I was surprised that you seemed - well, surprised!

And I agree, he's not the best looking is he. Never has been.

well, you know what, I was surprised... I was never a follower of the Jam at the time, or The Style Council afterwards, so during that particular time period, have clearly paid little attention.

I didn't really bother to rise to it horse... anyhow, that's one of the points of the Legends "thing", so that the ignorant (like moi) may be educated :-)
