topher claims not to be bothered about appearances in women, then proceeds to come up with today's silly statement... bonjour, Charla... ca va bien?

Can you show me where I said I'm not bothered by appearances in women? I do find excessive armpit hair to be unattractive, I also find women with a moustache unattractive.

Charlalottie, further evidence of your mongrelness...

In the battle of the sexes thread, you have all but claimed appearance, and an effort with it doesn't matter, then you come up with all this!!

Je vais assez bien, Charla, mais je suis tres occupee ce matin et pas de tres bon humeur. Et je ne peux pas ecouter la radio non plus.

I've had a look and the only thing I can think of that relates to that are these two quotes:
Topher wrote:
Viv 113 wrote:2. I get to wear make-up, which I like, although it's very subtle ... if you took my black mascara away from me, I think I may die.

I don't like women who have to wear make-up in order to look attractive. I like people who feel confident enough and who are not vain enough to wear make-up.

That is not the same thing.

Topher wrote:
Viv 113 wrote:2. Females are judged so much on how they look : you can't seem to have an "off day" as a female, whereas it seems ok for guys to go out looking like s***.

Why can't you have an off-day?

That is also not the same thing.

To clarify, I do think personality matters a hell of a lot, but there has to be a physical attraction as well.

OK!! calm down! take it easy!! I was a bit cross, because you had posted something I would have expected you to post, and it suddenly had me on my feet, tearing my hair out.

Then surely I'm not the one who needs to calm down?

I'm taking it easy, I was just curious as to what made you think that about me, is all.

if you expected him to post it, why were you on your feet tearing your hair out?

Also, I first read that as tearing your hair out with your feet, which made me smile.

it's just the very posting summed up what I had thought of him, foots... that he would go straight for the "immaculate female" type : like Chanelle off of BB, that's all.

But thats not what he said?!

He said that looks do matter as well as personality. I think that most folk would agree with that?

that's what he seemed to be saying... I was reading between the lines and sizing up what kind of female he would most likely go for, that's all

Rather than reading between the lines, I would think it makes sense to actually read the lines that have been written? Surely?

Anyways - he can fight his own battles. I'm going to the loo.

So you were making assumptions about him and were then annoyed at you're own assumptions? Very odd Viv, very odd.

There are no 'between the lines', Viv; I meant what I said. Also I would never 'go for' someone who had been on Big Brother.

The female I would be likely to go for would be... Mrs Topher. Oddly enough.

Foot-loose - is it National Comics Day or whatever it is? I know I saw an advert on BBC 3 about comics and now your signature (which needs work on the story, it has to be said... I prefer the others.)

look, I didn't mean to make this any kind of battle, and I like to read between lines, OK. Good grief. Hope you enjoyed the loo.

I may be imagining this , but I'm sure there is a picture of Mrs Topher on the boards somewhere - posted in the "pictures from Moyles book signings" thread (or something) from last year. I do remember her being very lovely, but not blonde I don't think. Alternatively, I may be making it all up.

I refer you to this post:
Topher wrote:I don't think that's unusual, I think it's unusual to find people who automatically like someone purely on the colour of their hair.

That said, I find darker hair nicer generally.

Mrs Topher is neither blonde, nor immaculate (she would be the first to say that.)

Nope, you're not making it up.
