When will they get rid of this feature?

Aled, I know you occasionally pop in here, so if you read this, please do the decent thing and put an end to the madness. Chris's annoying pseudo-baby voice, the oh so unfunny tearing up of the cards, the irritating jingle........ it's all just for want of a better phrase..... cringeworthy radio...... a crap cringeworthy at that.

I've not heard the feature, but the concept is abysmal. Far far worse than anything they ever did on Celebrity Tarzan by the sounds of it, but then I didn't mind Celebrity Tarzan.

It's a strange feature because only the people whose birthdays it is really care, but Aled has said that was a concern, so they must have seen some advantage to it to actually go with it. Maybe they'll replace it with something with more audience participation like Celebrity Tarzan when they are allowed to run competitons.

I dont think its on for long, the reason being that we are in August right now, kids are out of their routine, till they go back to school and everyones back to the grindstone - thats the time things will get more interesting, essentially the feature is a bit of a filler, I reckon.

I like the feature, it's a vehicle for Chris to take the piss a bit, I think Chris after mixing it up with the stars is finding the gang just a little bit tedious this week.
And I think it was smart of Chris to quickly fade Dave out when within 4 minutes he is on about baby stuff again !
I think after two weeks apart the gang are bonding again ! Chris's new jingles are not very complementary are they ! ( funny though !)

I can't see it lasting as a feature to be honest. Which is a shame as my birthday's in December, haha. I get that it's probably supposed to be a local radio parody but surely they can do better than this.

i like the aquafresh rip off jingle though.

bring back celebrity tarzan or something of similar quality. although i suppose that cannae be done until some folk at the bbc stop bein dishonest eejits.

I'll be there Aled, don't you worry. A slight improvement today, at least he's ditched the baby voice.... that was starting to grate on me quite a bit.

Incidentally, what with the recent slapped wrists the BBC had over the whole "faking callers for competitions" etc, is it wise for the show to feature what probably was a made up callers name? (I refer to Adam Baldcock). Perhaps this was the reason the feature was created, but it surely is playing with fire.
