Ok, quick update, as you've heard on the news, Gloucestershire is under water. I've never known anything like it, it took 5 and a half hours to get from Cheltenham (11 miles) to Gloucester on Friday. The water has been turned off, and not due to be back on till Wednesday. The Severn has broke its banks and still rising apparently, and its supposed to be torrential rain again over night. Now if the floods are half as bad as Friday then I won't be able to get to work. But then, if we have no water, chances are it'll be closed anyway due to health and Hygiene.
We've had a warning that the power could go off any minute because the floods have reached the powerstation, so I'm here at my Mums to pick up some candles.
On the plus, the barn itself is fine and theres no damage at all. The main road directly outside was about 6 inches under on Friday though, but it didn't reach the door.
Isn't the summer wonderful?
