a. seaside;
b. countryside;
c. city................ which would you choose?

Although I live near the seaside, I would, I think, really prefer to live in a city, with LOADS more to do : more shops, cinemas, theatres, etc., etc.

I never said that everyone who lives by the sea is fat or eating chips. I was just saying that there are fat people eating chips by the sea. Not saying there isn't fat people anywhere else, just you do find an awful lot eating chips by the sea, well I do anyway.

Being a city dweller I do sometimes wish for more natural open . So when I go to my seaside hometown place it reminds me of my younger carefree days. I generally find the homeless people clutching cans being sick can be more of an eyesore than the fatsos.

I have been very happy living in the city, I have also been very happy living in the depths of the countryside. I love the coast, and would like to live by the sea, but not in a resort area. On the whole, I like to be either in a town or in the countryside, what I hate is suburbia, the bits in-between. Like where I live now.

Where I live I am within easy driving distance of the city centre so shops and night life is easily within reach and I am about 25 mins away from Loch Lomond which I (maybe slightly biasedly) do believe is one of the most beautiful places in the UK. The closest sea front would prob be down at Ayr or Troon (about 25 - 30 mins away as well) but when I go up north, the house we go to is practically underwater.

For generic countryside, not more than about five mins from here.

I am lucky. However, I dont think many people can live too far from the country if they wanted to visit somewhere. The number of folk that live near me that have no idea how close Loch Lomond is, tis a bit weird.

I think either the countryside or the coast. My natural home is the countryside though its just a shame in this country there are few places you can really feel alone.

I like the countryside for the fact that when you live in a rural village everyone knows everyone (shut up about inbreeding) and you can walk into a pub and literally know everyone in there. I also like the hustle and bustle of the city, but it's nicer when that is only a smaller part of your life.

I live in the country but work in the city and I used to live by the seaside and used to live in a city. What I do now is much better

I've lived in a small town all my life but we have the most beautiful forests five minutes drive from where we live - to answer the question I'd much rather live in the countryside. Clean air, lots of wildlife and the freedom to run through the forest stark naked My g/f, who was born and raised in the Moss Side area of Manchester, thinks it's the most beautiful place on earth.

Money no object I'd live in the countryside, as I wouldn't care that it'd cost £80 to get a cab home after a night on the ale! Where I live now I'm only 30 mins train journey from central London for a great night out, and there is a fair amount of green open space for my son, so a pretty good mix.

In a nutshell I like living 20 miles outside of a city, in the home counties!

I kinda like where I am now. City not by the sea and quite high up I think so not affected by flooding.
Still would love to move back to London in the long term though.

Personally, I don't know how you can stand London. I think this would be the last place I would ever live, Horse.

I love London but I'm not sure I'd like to live there permanently.
