Free tickets are available for the recording the day prior to broadcast at http://www.applausestore.com.

As reported in the Sun today, there is something of a sensation surrounding his fee for appearing, with Moyles getting a whopping £50,000 which is £20,000 more than other guest hosts.

A telly source said: “Moyles is a big draw, everyone loves him — and we were prepared to pay whatever it took.

“Our guest stars normally get £30,000 but Moyles is worth more.”

The Sun told last year how the self-styled “saviour of early morning radio” gets around £630,000 a year for his Radio One show.

Chris can we not have an exception on "lol" though? It's kind of an expression in it's own right now.

Quoting myself from another forum: -

'LMAO' together with 'LOL' and 'ROFL' are silly txt-spk phrases that lazy people use on the internet. They are also almost always used in irony, as the person using it probably isn't laughing their ass/arse off, out loud, or rolling around on the floor, although I suppose 'TWMA' (That was mildly amusing) doesn't have the same ring.

I don't mind it in net chats and whatever, but it is annoying when people use it in verbal conversation.

I type 'Hehe' all the time... sorry Footy, it won't happen again. :(

Meh - i type "lol" all the time - I irritate myself in doing so.

Dont worry about it - if all I need to worry about is whither or not people are writing "hehe" on the net somewhere, my life is pretty damn good!

i think the reason it was highlighted to me was that someone I used to talk to on MSN - their only reply was either "haha", "hehe" or "lol".

There was one night me and my mate were sitting drinking at mine and we were talking to this person on MSN - it was quite funny...

me: "how are you today?"
them: "Im good hehe. How are you?"
me: "im sitting drinking, so im fine"
them: "lol"
me: "what you been up to."
them: "nothing, bored, haha"
me: "hehe" (i was taking the piss by this point)
them: "lol"

etc, etc

Its fine if you want to convey something that you have found amusing - its just when its unnecessary. "Lolz" is never needed though.

I don't use it when I speak but I do use it a lot on email and, yes, in txt. I find it can reassure the person you're speaking to that what you're saying isn't supposed to be taken literally.

So Chris can we use lol on the forum?

Give us your mobile honey and I'll send you a video each time. I laugh most of the time, even when I'm being serious. I'm taking tablets for it but the Doc says there's no cure.
