As many of you know I'm on holiday this week and am finding it hard to stay occupied so I've been doing the dreaded housework today. I'd forgotten exactly how dull most tasks are. When I lived at home my Mam had loads of brass things which I used to enjoy cleaning cos you could see the finished effect I have nothing like this so it's all toilets, skirting boards and ironing here. To amuse me let me know about your fave/least fave tasks around the house and any entertaining mishaps you may have had.

I have managed to dye my fingers blue today because I answered my phone while still holding one of those blue things you put in the cistern of your loo, Ive scrubbed them but the stuff won't come off. Feels like I'm turning into Topher!

Well if you're asleep you can't possibly be making any mess so it's only right you don't do the cleaning :D

Because i'm in a shared house (tho not for much longer:D) theres part of the rent that gets put toward a cleaner for all the communal bits. The rest I can do.

Cleaning the oven, hate it!
I also chose sorting out those junk drawers, which I change my mind about....
When I start I have an idea as to how long it will take, how I'm going to manage the stuff (usually I say to myself "if you haven't used it in the last 6 months then you don't need it) and set about the task neither happy or sad...
then I find things which is like riding a roller-coaster, some things make me happy, some things make me sad, but most things trigger my memory, I go through photo pouches and albums, look through agreements, letters etc, and all the while I'm not actually throwing anything away!
So then I clench my teeth re-sort and throw things away.
It ends up taking a lot longer than I wanted, and almost always someone will ask if I had found something that's now in the bin.
So I do end up hating that task.
