It really surprised me to find out the yummy, scrummy slice of man that is the Mills smokes! He never struck me as a smoker somehow! I think I first heard the fact that he smoked on Moyles' show one morning.

Well, he has spoken openly about being gay, he did a big interview with one of the broadsheets just after he joined Radio 1, just so everyone knew and no-one could accuse him of trying to hide it. He seems to like to stay fairly ambiguous on the subject on the radio, but surely that's with the understanding that everyone actually knows he is gay, and know he deliberately being evasive. I've always thought he just doesn't want to talk openly about his sex life on his radio show, and why should he? Much more fun to be a bit vague.

Yes, but the point is that he is publicly out, its acknowledged - if he chooses to play a different game on his show, its in that context of him being a gay man.

Do you think "admits" is the right word to use? Kind of sounds like he's keeping a guilty secret, something to be ashamed of - you'll have the PC police on you Timp!
