Was wondering what kinds of scents you all liked? Perfumes? Or food scents? Outdoor scents, etc.? And, if you choose, why? :D

I like: earthy smells: woodlands after rain; the salty scent of the sea-side; chlorine (bizarrely?); smells of roses and blooms; newly cut grass; Angel perfume and citrus scents. :-)

I like Cerruti as well, Catherine. And I forgot about petrol! And tar too, when it's been newly laid! I've spent this morning next to the sea, which has inspired this thread (!!). :-)

As mentioned elsewhere, I am rather partial - not to say addicted - to the smell of Dettol.

Mr Yudster wears Dior's Fahrenheit, and I really really really really love it, to the extent that I will wear it myself when he is away, just so I get to smell him. It.

Natural smells, I love Lily of the Valley, the sea (with you there Viv), and rain in the night after a really hot day.

Pefume-wise, I wear Thierry Mugler - Angel in autumn/winter, Angel Lily in spring/summer.
I am allergic to a lot of synthetic/chemically smells, so I like Angel cos it's eau de parfum, not the cheaper, watered-down eau de toilette.

Other than that, I like the smell of cinammon and coffee. And grass even tho I am so badly allergic to it.

When I'm not wearing Mr Yudster's stuff, I wear Givenchy's Ysatis in the evening, and in the daytime O de Lancome or Anais Anais (Ada's Anus as my mum always calls it). Or whatever someone has bought for me!

:-) I love the angel stuff, cos it lasts all day, and smells of chocolate and vanilla.

Bonfires, tarmac, paint (particularly lead paint) and whatever the perfume is that the woman who leaves before me in a morning is. Leaves a lovely smell in the hall.

I like petrol, most meaty dinners, home baking (mainly cakes), I agree on tarmac. As far as aftershave goes, Diesel (the red one - Zero Plus I think).

I love many smells - the ones i can mention are:- Cut Grass, new books, tomato plants, basil, my cat Salem, johnson's baby powder, men's changing rooms. My scent of choice is Sensi by Armani unfortunately I seem to have had the last bottle left in the world for christmas as they've stopped making it so I'll have to find a new one.

I love the smell of a flanel,
I love the smell of an old oak panel,
as I love the smell of the hair of a spaniel
