I'm a bit like this. I like not actually having to get up in the morning (Mon - Fri its a 6am start at latest), but if I stay in bed past 8.30 at the weekend it feels like I wasted the day, and thats not a nice feeling, puts me in a bad mood.

I don't feel guilty about lying in except that I know if I do I won't be able to sleep in the evening, and then I'll be knackered in the morning when i have to get up early for work. I'm mostly propped up by coffee as it is.

I kow what she means - I don't have any pressing need to have a list of things to do in order to feel useful like Viv says she does, but I do get very pissed off with myself if a Saturday slips by without me being able to look back and say "ooh yes, glad I did that" - and if I don't get up in the morning, thats invariably what happens! I come into work on Monday, someone says "did you have a nice weekend" and I have to say " - er....no, not really!". And that is annoying.

I wish Elton ans Linoel could tell the difference between a week day and a weekend. During the week it's quite nice having them open the bedroom door (yes they've figured out how to do it) at about 7am on the dot, without fail. They then jump on the bed for a little play, and generally ensure that myself and Mrs Ballbag actually get out of bed.

However they continue this practice at the weekend, and so as such we don't really get a lie in. It's not always a bad thing though because I too don't like wasting the day. I think I've forgotten how to stay in bed late........ I haven't slept past 8 am for years now. It's quite refreshing.

Is this dogs we're talking about btw? I would have called them something sensible : like "Treacle" (on account of The Mills), and "Sam" (Tyler - life on mars). :-)

Hahah, the cats at Mamma Ballbag's house are called Lion-O and Mumrah. That's what happens when you let the kids name the cats. Now we've all left home, and Mamma Ballbag's sat there.... the owner of two cats with stupid names. She says it's always embarassing telling people what they're called.
