Do you not normally sit exams for all the subjects you're taking?

Its the same question - what exams you doing / what subjects you going for?

If she posts the subjects what are we guessing? Results?

I know, and I know not the answer to either.

So what are we meant to be guessing?

That is my point, I am waiting to hear what subjects she's taking before guessing at her grades.

Nicola- A levels used to be sat at the end of th 2 years but now there's exams in the first year (AS) which account for half and then the other half is done the second year (A2).

So A Levels are defunct now?

Geography: B
English: B

ahhh, I see now. I did an AS level in French. I only carried on with it cos I fancied a bloke in the class. He turned out to be gay and I got a U in the exam. There's a moral in there somewhere.

Hmmm I presumed more, so I'll go for....

English - A (You seem relatively adept at stringing words together, rambling is oftern good sometimes)
Geography - C (You lost a river on a map)

The jump from GCSE's to A-levels was too high for me, all the same good luck charlalottie i'm sure you will pass both subjects.

Alas, my recollections of them are all too sketchy. Even my degree is largely forgotten. My MA a bit less so cos I only finished that in 03.

I didn't do A-Levels because I was on holiday on the day that you signed up. I did ring up, but they told me that I really had to be there, but as I was somewhere on the coast I obviously couldn't be. Then I got a phone call saying that I shouldn't have been told that and did I still want to do it, but I'd talked myself out of it at that point.

Agreed, GCSEs to A-Levels was a big jump, quite a shock really, but A-Level to an MEng degree FOOK ME that was scarey, I thought I'd died and gone to calculations hell.

Still all worth it in the end.

I attempted A-levels ,well it was a 2 year course which was equivalent to 3 A-levels, but all the work they piled on me got in the way of my social life.

If only I was using all those qualifications and not selling tickets...still, that's not why I got them, I just enjoy studying in itself. If anyone has a spare 35 grand to support me whilst I do a phD I'd be out of here in an instant.

I have an OND, a HND and a BA (Hons) and I'd love a MA to complete the set, so If anyone is gonna give Red £35 grand, can I have the same?

I'm looking for a job now and going back to college in September, with laws changing this year like no buying cigs till your 18 and staying in education till your 18 its hard for me to get one.

How would a law banning the sale of cigarettes to under 18s stop you from getting a job?

As a side note, Mrs Topher used to be one of those kids for Trading Standards who try and buy 18 videos - I'd have loved to have tried that!
