I thought i'd avoid this thread like the plague, as i dislike this subject, but sod it here i am. I probably spend about 95% of my time feeling absolutly ravenous, due to hardly eating anything and it's been this way since i was a teenager. Unfortunatly for me, i think my body as result of this now acts as it would in a famine, so when i do eat a bit, the weight piles on at a rate that it really shouldn't. The theory being, i guess, that it immediatly stores any calories for the inevitable prolongued period of starvation that will follow.
Motto: never diet, particularly as a teenager, it'll bugger up your body for life.
Rant over.

S4b, in your pic Chris looks fatter than you ! and he's happy.

Did you see Trinny & Suzanna Last night? the woman looked so much better after the transformation. No matter what your size or shape within reason I think that with a little bit of styling you can look back at the mirror and see for yourself, a lovely thing

Hmmm
Boboff I guess it's easier for a bloke to feel happy with how he is because they have less peer pressure (I may get shot down in flames for that)

Lottie I'm bigger than a 16 honey. Had a c section when I had my boys and I have no feeling in the skin on my tummy and I have the nasty envelope thing going on. It's v difficult to look good naked or clothed with all that going on

Thankyou S4B and Zoot, I do appreciate it. I saw How To Look Good Naked last nite too (why is it up against Trinny & Susannah??) and I agree she looked fantastic. There was also a fashion shoot of some "plus-size" models in last sunday's Observer mag and they looked amazing too. it's just hard to see oneself the same way.

The Plus Size models never seem to be as big as me. Also they tend to be tall and I'm only 5'1'' which makes the whole package less appealing

Mind you men do tend to look after you if you're little honey and I'm shorter than you so don't worry about that

I'm 5'7" and would love to be a bit shorter. When I wear heels I feel like a giant.

yeah, why not. The ironic thing is one of my legs used to be two inches shorter so I had the potential...but I had to have the bloody thing lengthened so I didn't keep limping and messing up my spine.

charlalottie wrote:I've had that. My pelvis had twisted round so my leg went up into the gap meaning one was shorter than the other so I gained about an inch which was nice.

ooh did you have an external fixator too? there's a pic of mine on my myspace (http://www.myspace.com/nicola_red) and one of my scars too.

That's my pet hate; cracking your bones. Mrs Topher does it, I tell her she'll get arthritis but she says it's just an old wives tale... out of interest, can anyone back me up?
