Depends on whether you believe in some sort of heaven/afterlife - many people do.

And you're dying thought could be "At least I've made you laugh at my funeral" I like having the last word (you may have noticed this)

I'd like Queen Who wants to live forever

Hmmm, I'm sure my final though would probably be something else, like "oh crap a bus", or "so their bite really is poisionous" or "crikey, who'd have thought he was a murderer".

Id rather have "WATCH OUT FOR THE ..."

Last three words I want to hear? "Brace, Brace, Brace".

I want the first movement of Elgar's cello concerto played at my funeral. But actually, I don't really care, as long as the people who I have left are confortable with it. I'd do what my dad did, he knew he was dying but he never worried about his funeral, he knew it would be ok. And I think it was - we had no hymns (because singing in a group like that when people are not really used to it is excruciating), my brother read one of Prospero's speeches from The Tempest, I read Sea Fever by John Masefield (my dad was loved the sea and his boat and all), and we played Albatross by Fleetwood Mac for the committal. I hate funerals, but I have to say, that was one of the better I have been to. Didn't half get through a lot of tissues though.

I think it was me that depressed poor Tim, not the thread - I'll just do a little tap dance to cheer everyone up -

*tappettytappettytaptaptaptaptappettytaptappertappertappertap*

There, no more depressed.

I don't see the harm talking about this type of thing, death is a fact of life. When you die, you're clearly not there to worry about it. I don't understand the whole getting depressed about it thing.

Doesn't that depend whether you are thinking about dying yourself, or losing people you love? The thread was about dying yourself and I agree, no depression there - I upset Timp by burbling on about my dad's funeral. Other people dying is always going to be sad and upsetting. Another tap dance I think -

Can you qualify that remark at all? If it will stop the continual jibes, I will post my weight an measurements on here, but I don't think it should be necessary. I don't think it would stop them anyway!
