Did anyone see it on Sat evening?

Im not the biggest fan of that show but I tend to watch it on a Sunday if i'm not working. Last nights episode was nothin short of terrifying I thought - those bloody statues are gonna give me nightmares! I aint normally bothered by films etc!

That said - it was a damn good episode.

Indeed it was one that also didn't actually directly show the Doctor that much. and the montage of statues around London and Cardiff at the end was a clever little touch. Think the one trick they missed was showing the Statue of Liberty.

I think this whole series has taken Dr Who to a new level, it's a different style not the same old "earth in trouble, doc turns up, doc saves earth". It's much more thrilleresque in my opinion. As to last night my ten year old biys have now vowed never to go near a statue again.

Well done BBC Wales

It is strange that a favorite gets this sort of treatment and works, I really enjoyed the Episode, and what this series has done is created a whole new load of believable baddies, Scarecrows and Statues, my 5 year old is already adding them to his nightmares, it's great fun telling him as he is yawning that if he closses his eyes or blinks the Statues will get him ! Sheer Terror ! Fantastic

Gone downhill me thinks, thought it was brilliant first couple of series, but I just couldn't engage with some of the stories lately for some reason. Having listened to ramble this morning with the theme tune being played Dave always makes me laugh when he hums along whilst entirely in his own universe, every morning, and Brasseye lol.

Some of the episodes this series haven't been up to par, but the latest episode was great. It was also far better than last years doctor-lite episode.

Probably because this time out, the 'monster' wasn't created by some kid winning a competition on Blue Peter.

It was the guy that absorbs people. It was the episode with Mark Warren (Danny Blue in Hustle) and the ghost girl from Harry Potter. I think Peter Kay played the monster, although I could be mistaken

Ahh - I remember.

As I said, its usually just background watching but that episode the other night made me jump a couple of times.

this one and the one with the gas mask kids were the two that stand out for me over the last few series.
