The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Hey,
Just wondered if anyone could tell me the name of the music Chris played on wednesday, quite early (between 7 and 8:30). He was talking about how he loves brass in music and then played an amazing trumpet solo.

If you could help it would be great!!

I don't like it - it sounds like telephone "on-hold" music to me. Orchestral versions of "pop-hits" -elevator music.

You sure? Doesn't sound like any sort of elevator music I've ever heard. I'd say it was a lot more funkier than that! Now, Acker Bilk - Strangers on the Shore (the theme music to That Mitchell & Webb Sound on Radio 4) is what I'd call the definitive sort of music you were referring to.

Yep - just sounds too much like "Pop Goes the Orchestra" type stuff. I'm sure its much better than that and all, and its that particular track mainly, because its instrumental. I like the Lily Allen ( and I never thought I'd be typing THAT!) track.

I think the cover of Just by Radiohead is superb. Definetly one of my fav tracks from the album.

Its just so cutting, even got the N-word shoehorned in there for good measure. Apply Some Pressure and Pretty Green are my favourites, makes me feel all grown up listening to it.

Just out of interest then, how old are you?

I'm in my 20s, and having liked the CMS jingles for so long it feels like I've stumbled across the natural home of said jingle's existence, very accessible music.

I got that Mark Ronson album for my dads birthday - its quite cool. My dad doesn't like it, so it must be good.
