I discovered a place today which is the perfect place to go when you are having issues with negative self-image, when you're having a really bad hair day, feeling fat, or useless - bearing in mind I have lived in Essex most of my life, I'm amazed I have never found it before. It's called - SOUTHEND. I went there and came away feeling like the most cultured, attractive, polished, intelligent, beautiful and slim person in the whole world.

I thought that place was called Essex myself.

Basildon's even worse than Southend i reckon. On a slightly sick not : a few years i went to a cremation there and the crematorium was near a waste tip, so the whole place stank of rubbish. Delightful.

I'd go tomorrow if I wasn't working, I feel that about myself every day. Oh and one of my best friends runs the W store there.

She must have a boring life - not many of the people I saw there to read.

You should broaden your horizons - most of Essex is rural, peaceful and quite lovely - problems arise the closer you get to the Thames Estuary!
