you're welcome yuds.! I got Blondie's "greatest hits" on cd not that long ago for only £5.99 (I think).... loving it ! I love "Sunday Girl": I remember as a young girl, a group of us used to sing this in a hut, as well as "Angelo" by Brotherhood of Man.

The Buggles was a popular song in its time! I remember the guy who sang it as having very big glasses!

And the other bloke, Trevor Horn, went on to become one of the biggest producers ever. He produced Frankie Goes to Hollywood back then too, if I remember right. Stupid name though.

I wonder if these black records with holes in the middle would actually be worth a fortune now? I have loads of singles : about 100 of them somewhere, I think.

Picture discs and twelve inch singles make money. I sold an imported 12 inch picture disk copy of Don't Make Me Wait by the Peach Boys (early eighties) for £135 last year - only to be told afterwards it was worth twice that much. Ah well.

I got given a record player by my uncle who emigrated to Spain a few months ago...first time I've owned one in years. Needs a new needle tho! I also own a fair bit of vinyl, but not much that I think is worth anything. I recently sold ten GNR 7" singles on ebay but only got about £25 for the lot. I've hung on to all the limited editions and that sort of thing. I have some of the picture discs framed on the living room wall.

I've got a Picture Disk of November Rain / Sweet Child Double a side on my wall, along with A signed Slash photo and his Plectrum.

Speaking of which - I kinda got to meet him last night, as in Ho got out the car, I shouted 'Slash', he turned around and gave me the thumbs up. Well, thats the closest I'm gonna get...
In the same Vain, I also met Duff, Matt Sorum and Scott Weiland last night too.

A Also proper met Perry Ferrall from Jane's addiction.

All those with seemingly useless vinyl records, see this little innovation.

I do totally want one of those usb turntables - alas my PC and record player are located nowhere near each other in the flat, so it'd be a bit like hard work using them, but they are cool.

Nice work with Slash and Perry Farrell Zoot - I am going to see Satellite Party, Farrell and Nuno Bettencourt's new band on monday, but I have no idea what they're like.

Yea - They supported last night. They were good, lots of jumping around and pole dancing girls. They only did a support set, so I'd be interested to know if they do any extreme/Jane's Addiction/ Porno 4 Pyro's covers.

in the early 80s my Mum started making plant pots out of vinyl she didn't want anymore - god alone knows how much of my inheritance she filled with earth!

If they break out 'Get The Funk Out' or 'Mutha (Don't Want To Go To School Today)' then I will be a very happy woman, but somehow i can't see it.

those are neat but totally overpriced and the turntables are usually quite crap. what you need is just a cheap preamp and rca cable, if you already have a turntable.

The first I can remember buying for myself was 'Devil Gate Drive' by Suzi Quatro.
I loved Suzi, but 'chucked her' for Kate bush, then gave up women  for Punk Music!.
Although that didn't last long because I had left school and was working long hours, and the punk look didn't go down well with my boss! :?
