That's another thing, see - blasphemy will never bother me because I'm not remotely religious. I have a friend who is very religious though and I've heard him say loads of 'offensive words', including c*nt, but always has a go at me if I forget he's around and blaspheme by mistake - I've never understood that, but like I said, I'm not religious.

Depends what type of blasphemy, if its just taking God's name in vain when you get ticked off most of my Roman Catholic family wouldn't give a toss.

Isn't that what blasphemy is? He's Roman Catholic, he gets offended if I make a remark like "Christ, it's hot out there" or something. I remind him about free speech when he does though.

It can be worse. I see 'For God sake' 'Oh my God' as sayings, more offensive ones would be 'Christ on a bike' which makes me laugh but i can see it as offensive to some.

Not always. It can be a lazy person, a flirt all sorts. I'm not lazy but I do flirt and as to sleeping with a lot of people.....depends what you mean by a lot

Let's consult our dictionary friend once again...

slut
–noun 1. a dirty, slovenly woman.
2. an immoral or dissolute woman; prostitute.

so no mention of laziness or flirting there.

Personally, I don't really have a problem with 'slut' altho 'wh0re' is a bit more pejorative I think.

I really hate that kind of language - but I hate it for a reason, and I don't have a go at people who don't share my antipathy. If I heard someone who professes to be a Christian speaking like that I would call them on it - otherwise, not.

Guy at work here (Very old fashioned, chauvanistic guy) Sometimes refers to the girls who work here as 'Wench', and if they get offended say's that it's not an insult and they used to say it all the time when he was a boy.
I would take being called a 'Wench' as an insult...

I probably would too. That said I don't like 'love'. I find It's usually used in a patronising way. I know a guy who was most upset when an assistant in the local Spar kicked off at him for addressing her as 'mate'...

I get very pissed off when I am with another woman and someone addresses us as "girls". I also intensely dislike being referred to as a "lady". I am a woman, and prefer to be called that. Some people have a real problem with using the word woman though!

What if I walked up to you Yudyud, clicked my fingers and said "hey there sexy lady, there's a party in my pants and you're invited".

Would you mind that.
