Just curious.

Who here has called, texted or emailed in to the show? Has anyone ever been on Carpark Catchphrase, One Road Travel, Celebrity Tarzan, etc...?

I've texted in a few times for random polls but they've never read any out, to my knowledge. I've never called in - I don't have any great desire to be on the radio, really.

Mark & Lard used to read my texts and requests out often, but I think that was cos I've met them both thru work. Mark chose the building where I work as his favourite building for a BBC TV programme, so he knew who I was if I put that in with my name.

I got a "biggedy biggedy bong" once (a bloke who works in the galleries here came up to me in the canteen the following day and asked, serious-faced, "did you get a biggedy biggedy bong yesterday?"), and an "is it worth owt?" which was for my colleagues, cos it reminded me of people who call us and think they have an original Lowry painting in their attic.

I've texted the studio and got my text read on air,
It was quite random as i've just finnished my nightshift and was dead tired, I randomly texted that There was a lot of SNIEG in Edinbnurgh and that my bus was delayed by 20 minutes. (instead of snow i wrote snieg in Polish)

I used to text in about 3-4 times a month, mostly at the start of the show to comment on something. I'd always start with "Morning fatboy and the R1 team" No wonder I never got a mention

About a year and a half ago, i texted something into zane lowes show and won a load of cds. I don't really text any of them now. I think i used up my good luck quota on that one.

I've a texted a few times... my last one was on Monday in support of Moyles not letting Jordan on the show! I've never once had a text picked up by Moyles' show and read out.

I've had texts read out by The Mills, but most of my texts seem to be read out by Sara Cox - I'd say she picks my texts up as high as 7 times out of 10! Love her!

I have a DJ that I "stalk" on XFM London. J Hillcock from 1am till 6am I listen on the nightshift. Noone texts him so when I text he always reads it out. He already knows me and Its quite funny. Anyway...
