This may have been done before, didn't spot it whilst foraging thru old threads, so here goes. What was the first record you bought? Name the single, album, or both.

Mine: single (and yes it was on 7" vinyl, I am old) - Puss In Boots by Adam Ant.
album - first one I got bought as a present was by Wham! (I forget the title); first one I bought myself was Pump by Aerosmith.

First album I ever bought was Hey Stoopid by Alice Cooper. I've still got it and still listen to it.
I think the first single I bout was the all seeing eye - the beat goes on, but I won't swear on that one.

It was done ages ago, but I think the only reason I remember is that it was done by me when I first joined. Mine is embarrassing... A New Flame by Simply Red. My music taste has got younger as I've got older.

Single: Boom Boom Boom by the Outhere Brothers on tape.
Album: Probably the Spice Girls first album.

I am indeed 32 boboff, but then i posted that in another thread just a couple hours ago!

I was completely in love with Adam Ant. When I think back now that seems quite disturbing as I was only six or seven. I still have a soft spot for him even tho he's now a bit mental.

It is when the first record you bought was Simply Red.

However, my family have a history of buying crap records; the first record my mum bought was Long-Haired Lover from Liverpool, so it appears to be a hereditary thing. She still knows the dance as well.

Pfft leave it out, you gave me a nice compliment, I returned it.. though I was careful to say you'll be a looker when you're older

Not to say you're not now, but you're a tad young for me. Not to mention I'm in a relationship (and so are you by the sounds of it.)

Adam Ant is pure class, we recently purchased an old car with a tape player, I played Adam Ant on it, and my 5 year old son spent the next couple of days singing "prince charming, redicule is etc "

Goes to show that it is class when a 5 year old can sing along after only hearing it once !
