i'm very very sad, and I listen to the whole show pretty much every day, and this is the first time I can think that they've ended the show with anything other than the normal outro jingle!

Can anyone recall when this has happened on the morning show before?

I think Jo gets pretty tetchy when they crash into her show - dunno why coz I think the banter at the handover between both Chris and JK & Joel and between Wogan and Ken Bruce are worth listening to. If its done properly, its good radio.

Chris wanted to play those Sgt Pepper tracks, it took too long cos of the narration or whatever on the clips and then ran into Whiley. So to speak.

She came off kinda rude today and you could tell that Chris was trying to end it as soon as he could. I used to like her but her rating is going down with me.

I am sooooooo with you on this. I turn off the minute she comes on air, always have done, even her voice is annoying at least if she said something funny, entertaining or useful I could deal with it.

She has no personality. I like some things about her show - well, the live lounge mainly - but don't try to tell me that she has anything to do with that, she's just the presenter. And I'm sure someone else could do it much more entertainingly.

I think she has a genuine charm and genuineness generally actually.

She is reasonably good looking, likes music, and is very accomplished in running a show on her own. You wouldn't mess though would you ?

Men all seem to fancy Jo Whiley. My Dad is going to Glastonbury this year, the principal reason that he's enjoyed watching her present it on the tv in past years, so she must have something about her - even if it's only her "glittering " tv presenting style.

I don't fancy her, I like her as a Radio 1 disc jockey. She lives quite near here, someone in my table tennis league sends his kids to the same school as her kids. They have been to a party hosted by her for her kids. Apparently at school fetes she donates McFly tickets and things like that.

That's a fair point. Edith though can be pretty loud and obtrusive. If i had to work with her programme on in the background, the poor Angolans would be shouting "get in" rather than "find me a house please".
