I have always found the amount of padding apparently required by the "men" who play League amusing, I must admit....

Tis true, don't find that in Union. I have tried to get into league but it just frustrates me.

Now Nicola that just shows how little you understnad Union. It's a fight to the death for the ball not a gropping session. At least they're not so sacred of messing up their hair that they push the ball back between their legs if someone touches them. :lol:

Mind you it's what you're used to I guess you're from "up north" so I'd expect you to be uneducated in the art of proper Rugby, I was weaned on the blood of my Welsh Rugby Union heroes so you can expect nothing else from me either. We'll never either convert each other or agree on this subject babe xx

I used to be a Wigan season ticket holder but the move to summer rugby ruined it for me. I still have an autograph book with all the greats... Sam Panapa, Billy McGinty (pineapple rings Mr Major), Ian Gildart, Mick Cassidy, Jason Robinson, Dave Myers, Dean Bell, Gene Miles, Andrew Farrar, Kelvin Skerret, Neil Cowie....

come back? Robinson started in league. I remember watching him in Wigan Academy games at Scrum Half. They go to Union for the money at the end of their careers.

I do beg your pardon Gassy you are correct he has retired....just, but he's been playing Union for at least 6 years, hardly that close to retirement for a sportsman when he saw the error of his ways and came to us from the dark side
