Following on from discussions in my little "Beatles" thread, what, in your opinion, is THE best song ever? The one that gets you going every time, or simply defines YOU?

I don't get the British fascination with Queen really. I know he had a good voice but none of their songs scream classic to me.

Full version of Bridge Over Troubled Water for me. It has mixed memories, but all of them significant. And it is a beautiful song even without the personal stuff.

That's fantastic, I agree Mr Bag for Balls. They play it a lot in a bar I frequent, it's usually followed by Mike and the Mechanics - The Living Years.

Mr Balls has a good call with Hotel California.

Mr Jordan from the year 2000 - Gold Digga is the best song ever? Im not convinced by your argument...

The Eagles are very evocative for me too, they remind me of my bestest best friend who died ten years ago, they were her favourite band and we used to spend hours listening to them while we did our nails....!

The youth of today eh Footsman. On a similar note I find myself getting repeatidly annoyed nowadays by having to point out covers and samples to the youngsters in the office.
