I must admit, i was going to write apologies in my original post but decided it only required the singular version but forgot to amend it to its correct form.

And i agree that how would does sound better.

It's pleasing to know that i don't work in the wordings department of our company.

Hmm, I don't think they would call it "wordings" either. Perhaps PR, Marketing, Corporate Culture Regeneration Unit, Stakeholder Central Communication Hub, all perhaps, but not "wordings"

Spelling was the only thing I was good at when I was at school. Touché on the 'aplogy' though.

I was generally good at most things, apart from History and Geography, I just had no interest in them. My two "school related big me up claim to fames" are thus.

1) I was the only person to get 100% in my 6th form mock Maths exam, and they had to extend the column on the results sheet, just for mine.

2) I am still the school 400 m record holder 12 years since leaving. I know this because they now have them on-line so I can check.

I didn't go for History on my GCSEs but I wish I did.

I was good @ foreign languages, but could not count past 100, and still can't. In cookery classes I once put a knife throo' my hand, which wasn't v. nice.

Working within a Reinsurance Broker's a Wordings Department is an essential department. Fortunately our Wording's Technician can spell.

I had to endure cookery, felt like arriving on another planet, planet cake that is. I brought brandy in for my cake and the others swigged it all down there and then. Bástárds.

Got C in Woodwork - pleased with that coz I wasn't brilliant at it. To this day that rabbit hutch still sits in a back yard somewhere, never flogged it, was disgusted that I might only get £20 for it. Certainly never come across any homeless rabbits either.

Was the maths, Pure, Applied or Statistics ?

My school record was for throwing a Black Forest Gateux 40 ft across the dining Hall and hitting the head of sixth form square on the face !

I was egged on by the History teacher sat next to me, and when the head of sixth form stood and shouted "get out" I looked and pointed at said History teacher, really very funny, well I thought so, not many of the students did though, as I think they had to cancel the rest of the evening.

Although my best recolection of this event was afterwards, when I had been castigated, and told to leave immediately, I helped the teacher clean up, and whilst damping cream from his suit asked him whether it was a good time to ask for my reference ! Classic

Black Forest Gateux? Wow your school was posh, we thought it was exotic if the custard was pink rather than yellow!

It was the sixth form leavers party we all brought food, all suits and ball gowns etc.

My girlfriend at the time took pitty on me on the way home and took it in the grave yard !

It couldn't possibly have been a p-ppp-p-ppublic-it.. twunt on Dominics part could it, just to see if we still like the feature? I think Jess came across sweet on here and refreshingly normal on the radio. Shes probably like "Ahh been there done that worn the t-shirt, meh"

Ta da!

I'm glad you wanted me back after the original abuse! Lol.
Anyway, I don't know how you ended up talking about periods/spelling and school but at least it swung back round to the momentary star!
(I'll have you know I am an A* pupil with perfect spelling *scoff scoff*)

I was very excited and got lots of texts from my friends saying they heard it and Chris didn't laugh at me, although Dom didn't really say anything worth mocking. Just that I was studying and going to be a midwife.

But I did record it... heehee.

:D btw... Jess is very rarely a boy's name so a random assumption to make but at least you could tell I was a girl from my voice. It would have been fairly embarrassing if you couldn't.

That would be really nice. How do I ask?

Then I can show everyone who dared to miss radio history!
