Chelsea are just the new team who everybody loves to hate. I wonder if this will diminish at all if Abramovitch sacks Mourinho this summer.

With good reason, buying the title is just not cricket. Shame they couldn't buy the champions league too.

hmm, what piffle baggie, it's wrong to spend money to get a good side ?
Is that only on players, or is it wrong to spend money on the ground, facilities, training plans etc as well ?
You speculate to accumulate, you pay the best money to get the best players, to hopefully get the best results.
The game was boring, and neither side deserved to win, however much the teams cost.
It's a rubbish argument, Exeter City Kept Man United to a 0-0 draw last year, and they are all part time.

But only 3 swear words in the Football League

Arsenal
Scunthorpe
and * Chelsea !

PS by your argument Farari shouldn't Race formula 1, Wasps shouldn't play Rugby, and Leeds should have won the Premiership

My arguement isn't that they shouldn't...... it is that they did.

Sincerely I hope you have a great brithday and a great year, be happy, don't worry, enjoy.

No it is not, I was merely pointing out the extreme lengths that Chelsea have gone to of late, far exceeding those around them.

Spending money on developing young English players would be a good idea, alas I don't feel that it is done enough.

You do indeed, but again see my answer to your first post.
boboff wrote:The game was boring, and neither side deserved to win, however much the teams cost.
Agreed. They should have stopped it at full time and said "neither of you deserve this trophy because you're both being boring", and then gone home.

The magic of football I suppose.

You forgot Blackpool and Liverpool. (poo is a swear word in my eyes)

So much so that METRO is the same, but at least that's free.

I wish I could do that, every time I go back to pick up a second quote my post disapears, I think it might have to with the

There is an iframe below the textarea box that you write your post in, this contains all the most recent posts in the thread. This, along with the BB tag quote button above the typing area and copy/paste combination should make it simple.

Hmm, when I perform a quot-a-thon, i am usually reading through about five pages so I just hit the "quote" button in each post that I'm gonna deal with while holding down the shift key. This opens it in another window - then just copy and paste each across into the first window.

Easy.

The standard of newspapers in this country is very poor sadly.

Well how is anyone else going to know then. Besides, was it really worth bringing this back up just for that?
