For technical reasons it has become impossible to keep our 'Circlehosting' download mirror server synchronised with the rest of the cluster, so it has been removed from the rotation and downloads will no longer be served by that machine. This will mean the end of the 'file not found' errors that you may have experienced on occasion, but also it removes some capacity for downloads.
If you have a server which has some capacity, we would love to hear from you. Each Sound Vault server moves around 90GB of data per month and stores around 5GB of material for the site. The server would need to be fast, Linux/Unix-based and have SSH access (for automated mirror synchronisation). If you think that you could help, please contact me at mailto:chris@chrismoyles.net.
