I do like that video, its got a moodiness about it. The song would probably feature on 'The Hits' channel in a special category 'So Awful But We Love It'

It did, it was quite recently. So it's relatively fresh in my mind. I actually quite like it. Remember their less successful follow-up 'Girl Power'? That's where the Spice Girls nicked it from.

I saw Chris De Burgh. He sung Danny Boy and then said how he supported Liverpool. I booed. If he had done the funeral song I would have walked out.

I think extra punctuation is OK as long as it's not in every post because then the gist of your awe is fully carried.

My mum is a Chris de Burgh fan. But other than that she's got quite good music taste.

Some of his songs are excellent. Spanish Train is amazing.

I do actually have a weakness for that song (that's the one where God plays cards with the Devil, right?) Mrs Topher likes A Spaceman Came Travelling.

... on his ship from afar - twas light years of time since his mission did start.
And over a village, he halted his craft, and it hung in the sky like a star.

Just like a star.

I agree with Mrs Topher.

I do like Bill Ballies hatred of him though, his Chris De Burg love song thing was amusing.

Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill the trolls, hunt them down there shall be no clemency,
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill the trolls, look under the bridges, thats where they hide.

I hate Chris de Burgh. I couldn't have any respect for anyone who wrote, made millions and continues to make millions out of a song which was only as successful as it was because of the background story of how he wrote it about his beloved and beautiful wife who he adores and loves - and all the while is shagging the nanny.

Great songs are built on strong personal emotions/experiences.

Sadly it appears dreary ones can be too.

And being revived on Stars in their Eyes by some lookalike who went on to win the best act ever on the show doesn't help either, remembering the sing-a-like/look-a-like standing with De-Burgh still turns my stomach.

His daughters well fit though, so, every cloud..

He's got a dark streak aswell; Chris de Burgh. He brought one of the aliens from Alien for ridiculous amounts of money. I wonder where he puts it? The toilet, the bedroom, or perhaps it was a present for the nanny.

Genius, yes Zoot man. I feel the word "clemency" is distinctly underused in todays modern language.

Underused perhaps, but surely inapplicable to Chris de Burgh. Unless in reference to it's being witheld.

Im assuming that you aint heard the song about Mr De Burg?

He doesn't want the trolls to face any clemency, indeed he wants to kill them all, while the "beautiful ladies" he will take as his bride.

Follow? Good.

Of course its the wrong time of year for clemency. I associate it far more with Christmas. Clemency, satsumas, oranges and Brazil nuts - very traditional.
