I was once privilidged enough to witness a cow work out that if it jumped the fence, it could prove how green the grass was on the other side.
However, I was even more grateful that God allowed me to witness the cows friend, who had been watching her companion jump the fence, then attempt a similar feat.
The second cow, however, failed to take into account the position of the ditch on the other side of the fence. So - while the first cow was as graceful as you can expect a cow to be in flight and by this point was munching on that green grass on the other side, the second cow took a running start at the fence, lept in the air and disappeared from view below the grass line.
This was funny enough from my point of view, but it was made complete by the rather dulcet "moooo" which came a couple of seconds later.
I like cows as well.
Cows are great, When I was 13 I used to help with herding cattle, they have a natural, but quite complex pecking order
The leader is usually in front, but then the next in order of importance position themselves amongst the others, you often see them nudging the others along, like cow-cops.
When I was little I rode around on the back of a bull, about 3 years later he seriously injured one of the farm workers!
Saying about cows falling into ditches, there was one time when we had to pull one out of a ditch, I had my shoulder in her rump pushing her, and as she came out of the ditch I fell, just as she bucked and kicked catching me in the chest and breaking a rib.
