called "World class players".

They will struggle to make the top 4.

I don't know though, we could do a repeat on 1991 (bad at the beginning of the season & winners by the end), I think they need to find thier barings at Ashburton Grove as Highbury was a signifcantly small pitch for the premiership, hence the nice close camera angle on MOTD

Quoting myself here from September & ashamed to admit that Fowler123, you were right, we've won bugger all & were just about 4th but not guaranteed that place yet, still too many games to go.

As long as we finish above the dirty Spurs and finish fourth then I'll be happy

I'd rather watch Arsenal than Chelsea, but I don't care who beats either of them.

A bit of a United-fest going on there...?

Aye, as was expected. I thought Vidic would be in there as well though.

scholes for me

Ronaldo walks it for me. Hes the reason United have been there this season. Giggs has been better than Scholes this year.

I don't understand Fabregas or Gerrard at all. Essien would have been in it for me and being completely biased I would have Lescott in... or Berbatov....

Gerrard has done nothing this season, his inclusion is a mystery. And no-one at Arsenal has shone consistently this year, certainly not Fabregas. Scholes has had some wonderful moments, but I get the impression he plays when he feels like it these days, and a lot of the time can't really be bothered. I think the influence that Gary Neville has had as player and captain on United this season has been extraordinary, and for me he would have been on the list.

Fabregas was alright in the first half of the season but has done bugger all since then. I thought Vidic might have been in there.

I wouldn't argue with Vidic, but defenders hardly ever get on those lists.

It's not the Man Utd player of the year award Malfoy the glory, not biased by any chance?

They should have just not had the vote this year and just give the trophy to Ronaldo, the rest are just also-rans really..... the best of a bad bunch.

I'm surprised Ben Foster's not in there though.

Thats a nomination for Stupid Hair though. Balls makes a good point, goalkeepers never feature on these lists, its not right.

Of course I make a good point.... it's me.

In fact there's only been 2 goal keeper winners, Jennings and Shilton in the 70's...... and only 6 defenders who've won it.... the remaining 25 were strikers and midfielders.*

Southall should have won it... he won the writers one though and what do footballers know?

Gary Neville is a good player but is never player of the season and has been injured a fair bit.

Ben Foster will have to prove himself at a bigger club. Its easy to be a star man in a crap team with loads of shots to save.

From outside the top 4 I would say:

Lescott
Berbatov
David James
Stephen Hunt

I thought I was the only person who was of the opinion that David James is a brilliant keeper. Nice to know I'm not the only one after all.
