The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Possibly the biggest fix in Radio 1 history. All female winners and yet they claim no males are ringing. Look at the message boards - plenty are calling. The lines are busy beforehand, the lines are busy all day. School kids calling up all week claiming they'd taken the week off to win them. No report of any one winning online either. Use some imagination, it is clear the only real winners are those who can scream. These competitions are getting worse on this station.

I would think that most broadcasters would be quite careful about "fixing" any compititions at the moment!

can you not just buy tickets instead? I mean wouldn't it be cheaper than ringing radio 1 10 thuosand times?

Anyone else hear the clip of the competition on Mills' show where the two emo boys had it out to see who could cry the most? That sounded excellent. I'm not a Mills fan at all but I might try and find that on listen again later. (was it friday's show, anyone know?)

I won't bother listening to the concert. It will just be ruined by hormonal fawning fangirls screaming all the time.

They should explain things better then.

Perhaps issue a leaflet of some kind.

Beats people who smile ALL THE FREAKIN TIME.
I don't trust people who just smile no matter what happens, or show no emotion at all.

I agree with that. Cheeful people are just irritating and feel the need to try and make everyone else cheeful.

Anyone who says "cheer up it might never happen" deserves a punch.

We used to have a woman like that working in my building. Always smiling and asking how people were. Used to really irritate me with her fake concern.

Then she went off on long term sick leave. After some time she resigned because of stress.

I'm sure there's a lesson in that...

Indeed. It's not healthy to bottle up emotions and moods like that.
