My sister sent an email to Rachel before Christmas a couple of years ago, asking if she could organize Chris to send me some signed DJ cards - it seemed to work - I have them here!

Snail/E mail seems to be the best option....

My brother wrote a letter to Des Lynam when he was a kid and Lynam was still doing Match of the Day, asking them to incorporate 'Save of the Month' as well as Goal of the Month. He wrote back in less than a week with a full page letter, personally signed. Quite impressive actually.

I've got a couple of Jackie Stewart, one from a book signing and one from when my mum used to do deliveries to the old Stewart F1 team and he was hanging around there; I've got one of Rubens Barrichello for that reason as well.

Also, who are you to tell us what we can and can't talk about? There's no need to get stroppy, you asked a question and got some sensible replies (among others). You've already been told we're not officially affiliated with the show so how are we supposed to know when Aled is on here next?

Chill folks. I'm just an eager beaver, clutching at straws almost to get this much-coveted photo.
My life isn't on the line but it would be a really really good thing to actually get something from all this.

I'm sure you will, but maybe you need to adjust your expectation of the likely timescale - they've all been on tour all this week, and are going to be snowed under when they get back to the studio, and you have to accept that they are probably not going to put your request at the top of their to-do list. If I were you I wouldn't be expecting anything like a result for at least another week, probably longer. I'm sure they will do it for you though.

I wouldn't expect anything to be honest.... and I'm not being grumpy or arsey. It's just that these sort of things aren't given out willy and indeed nilly, they're usually competition prizes, or consulation prizes, or given out at shows etc. If they start sending them out just because people want one it could open up the floodgates and before they know it they'll be recruiting for a "signed photo sender".

Anyway, that's just the thoughts of the Ballbag, and are in no way gospel.
