I personally really like sprouts, it's not christmas without sprouts...

to quote the christmas episode in one season of Bottom;
Eddie: "I don't like sprouts"
Richie: "Nobody likes sprouts"
Eddie: "Why are we having them then?"
Richie: (frustrated) "Because it's christmas!"

I don't think its very likely I will be trying anything that could have the word "surprisingly" put in front of "nice" in its description, I'm not that brave.

I don't like the idea of sweet and savoury foods going together, like pineapple on Pizza, Chocolate in Chili and coconut in curry
Although I did once taste Stilton Ice cream at the Cheltenham Cheese festival, and I really liked that.

As someone who gets a lot of stick for eating things on my plate one by one (seriously, I eat the rice then the curry), I can safely say I don't like mixing things, though I'm being pressured to now.

Apologies for this Topher, but you sir are a Freak.

I like sauces and stuff... I have mayonnaise on my chips, but if I'm having sausage and chips I don't have a bit of sausage and a chip on my fork at the same time. Same with mixed grill, everything gets eaten one by one.

charlalottie wrote:You're like that person out of dinnerladies. I think his name was Steve, and he broke his leg on the stairs after slipping on some orange juice. Anyway he could never eat things mixed up. If he was having breakfast he would eat the mushrooms, then the bacon, then the egg, then the sausage etc.

That's what I do with my breakfast (though I don't eat egg or mushrooms at all.)

My cousin was just like Topher, the Review clan are a bunch of particulars. When meeting up together either down South or up here, we dine out at a pub, now on this occasion we actually managed to get shown to a certain table number 13. I wont even go into the kerfuffle which followed that, even the waiter wouldnt touch us.

But we did reveal some odd eating habits throughout the troupe. One of us had to have bread with everything - enabling him to SAVOUR the taste, thats the wording he used, everything took it in turns with the bread, are you like that Topher?

Wehn I was a kid I was a VERY slow eater, mainly because my elder cousin used to me make me laugh with his dinner table humour. He would take the mickey and start eating pea by pea off his plate to try and see if he could finish before me, he was quite convinced.

Everyone else? Vegetarian, dont get me started.

Exciting, well no, thats the deal really, did you have a friend who would give you peer pressure if you decided to go back to carvinoure ways? Thats gotta be hard, i used to picture vegetarians as being crusaders like my cousin.

My sister had reason, there was a McDonalds food scare and that was it as far as she was concerned, well, understandably cos she worked there at the time and got free meals, what a perk! Not. My cousin, shes not liking the car..but travels around the world to help people, been to Ghana, studied, I know for a fact she would have hated the war, bit of an eco-warrior.

I care, (Saviour does care) and I had someone buy me Planet Earth for Christmas, I am an hour into it, I was moved by the plight of these animals in Antartica, and yeah you wont like that seals were being wolfed down by sharks and that in the sea in this particular episode, they were floating by the boat..Sorry you've not just cooked a bit of bacon now have you? Hope you haven't but due to the brilliance of the pictures they got hold of I had to get it, I only wish they'd edit it all down to an hour of highlights, a great series, did it win at TRIC, or have I confused it with another awards?

I agree Gaspode.

Also, is it me, or has McDonalds gone really minging in the past couple of years? I used to love it, but now every one I have nearly makes me throw up. Maybe it's just another sign that I'm getting old.

Why do people think that caring about the plight of wild animals has anything to do with whether or not you should eat meat? The plight of farmed animals is often just as bad. I think people should eat meat, we're designed to do so, but that we should all have a thorough understanding of how it became dinner - and care about that being done properly.

Ditto. Had a carvery meal last night as it was my dad's birthday, 50th, and I can't even have a bit of roast beef and a bit of yorkshire pudding on my fork at the same time

Thats right, a Kebab and more Alcohol.

No no, normally I want sex and more alcohol! (The person behind the bar tends to complain though!)

That sounds like a "im pregnant and this is what I will eat" food?

charlalottie wrote:Oh dear. Seriously though, try dipping a prawn cracker into a cream egg. Its surprisngly nice. Or try Mcflurry and chips. Dip the chip in the Mcflurry and for that extra zing, dip it in some ketchup. Now that's really nice.

Are you pregnant?
