Was wondering if any of you bright stars have ever been on air, or been pre-recorded at any time?

I've only ever been on with Mills (which wasn't that great), because he seemed cross with everyone because someone out on the street had handed him a "how to lose weight" pamphlet (can't imagine why  !).

I had recorded it, and when I heard the sound of my voice, I was horrified! It's odd that you think you sound a certain way, yet when someone plays a recording back to you, you sound different.... :?

Not very, when you consider lots of people on here have done the same thing either on student or hospital radio.

hmm, there was plenty of oppertunity for folk to get on the air when I was there. And it was the Craigie campus at the Uni - next door to the college.

If you call my office out of hours, you will get a pleasant message from me on our answerphone. I hate doing that so much - its the only time I am aware of the fact that I have a slight - very slight - inability to pronounce the letter "r" quite perfectly.........

Yeah, anyway, I once tried my voice they asked me to read a piece of paper in Blackpool, forget the new station that was launching. A couple of us media students went along, had a meal and went to the studio above this bar. I know for a fact I wasnt that good, but I might have only been 17 at the time. I dont regret trying it out, exciting at the time.

Yes DemonHorse it is my hobby to put down people I don't know on the internet. Don't take everything so seriously, I only put my opinion across.

Proper Job accent, I've had a drink with Phil Harding from the time team some time ago, now he's got a great somerset accent.
Must admit tho' as I have friends in Bristol, I still laugh (not out loud tho' ) at some of their Bristol accent, its the L on after vowels that gets me every time, "Going down AsdaL" lol!
