I was reading that kids' football shirts that sports beer companies are to be banned from sale fuelling speculation that alcohol advertsing could be banned altogether, France and Thailand have already banned alcohol ads so should the UK do the same?

Will you miss it? Even though you never really paid it any attention?

It's been a good few days since you set up a completely random poll Zenon, I was getting worried.

Personally? I don't think it will make any odds at all.

You're not allowed to play table tennis in an ETTA event wearing a t-shirt with alcohol or tobacco advertising on. Random fact of the day.

Alcohol ads are generally quite good, they're like the Hamlet ads used to be. I don't think banning tobacco ads stopped people taking up smoking; in fact I don't think tobacco ads encouraged people to take it up, I think it encouraged people who already smoked to change brands and the same probably applies to alcohol; if you don't want to drink you won't, if you do you will - ads won't change that.

You already can't have alcohol sponsors on some kids stuff because I think Everton's youth team have to remove Chang from the shirts.

The old Budweiser ads were good too. The one with the frogs and also the famous Wasaaaaaaaaaaa ads.

It's too late anyway, the kids are already hooked. This is Liverpool we're talking about.

I agree with joey01 about the WKD ads - and add to that the whole Bailey's ad concept, and put in Southern Comfort too while we're at it. Enjoy your binge responsibly.

I just leave all the goods at the forefront of my fridge, I'm currently campaigning for the introduction of 'behind the bar' style fridges, with glass doors, that'd be advertisement enough for me *hic*
