I'm not knocking this music. It's each to their own, but it kind of breaks up a good schedule. The new music should be a dedicated show surely? Please correct me if i'm wrong!

New music only on dedicated shows like at 7-11PM? Why do ONLY that when theres such a large audience during the day to expose to the new music.
and who's got anywhere off that show?
let's see....
Lily Allen, Editors, Kaiser Chiefs, Scissor Sisters, Ordinary Boys
all, I seem to remember, got VERY early plays (i.e before any singles were released) by Jo Whiley. There are also other examples of similar but played by Mark and Lard (usually as record of the week).

I go back to the Sandi Thom thing, when she first played it on radio 1 she was the usual 'brilliant new sound', blah, blah, blah. But a couple of weeks later when it was getting panned by everybody she said after she played it once that its 'not my sort of thing but people like it'.
