Sidders wrote:Says the one named after a dog. If you live with a pet for a long time you become attached to it and it's like part of the family. Anyway, I wondered how long it would be before you piped in with your necro-beastiality jokes.

I think I am heartless. I never made any joke of the sort. Your sick mind.

Sorry to hear that sidders.
My dog got into the cupboard with the 25kg sack of biscuits in last night and ate about 4 kilos, I know this because they all reappered only partially chewed as 4 large piles of sick this morning, I looked at Mrs Boboff and said look what she's done, shouted and the dog and then stood and watched retching and coughing whilst the obnoxiuos effluvia was dealt with.
At the time not that keen on Dogs, but then when she came pack in looking all sorry for herself, and in a dog way saying sorry, but it's instinct and I can't help it, you just can't help but forgive them can you ( although you do avoid any face to face contact for a while )

In the words of the Lion King, it's the circle of life my friend, look at this as an opportunity to find a new cute Puppy, and train it, and make him the best a man can have.

That's because you have deflection issues, on top of a self obsession disorder and anxiety deplacement strategies due to security reforcement needs.
But hey that's kinda of fun ! and your'e not hurting anyone, so I'll take your advice and shut up, well obviousy I haven't but, I will, after, and pets are nice, and it is what makes us all human, our compassion, also what makes us weak and deliniates those who would survive against those who wouldn't in the event of social anarchy.

Its one of those things you dont need to get. You just have to respect that its generally quite a touchy subject with those that it affects.

The point of "its just an animal" is possibly the least helpful thing you could say. Thats my opinion anyways.

People get very attached to their pets. But there is a level where I agree with Gaspode - I got a lot of abuse from various people last year when I made a decision to have my cat - which I loved - put down rather than treat an illness he had which would have required a lot of expensive drugs for the rest of his life, which might have been another ten years. It would have cost a fortune, and at the end of the day, I loved him, but he was just a cat. But other people feel differently.

Think of it in this way, what if Everton went bust, and someone said to you... "I don't get it - it's only a football team".

But at the end of the day it is only a football team. And to answer the touchy subject point I appreciate that but then why mention it on here.

And there I was thinking you were a die-hard Evertonian.

Yup - mine had her womb taken out at the beginning of last year coz of some nasty infection. Then she had a cancer scare in the summer and had to have a tumour removed.

Now she has pretty bad arthritis and several large fatty lumps which look a bit odd but apparently is nothing to worry about.

Oh, and she wont leave the garden after it gets dark thanks to fireworks night last year!

But she keeps soldiering on and acts like she is still a pup. This can be a problem when she goes chasing after a fox, fogetting that her legs dont work!

No, it would be the same thing if you cired because you didnt want your car to need to be fixed and you were hoping it would be ok.
