The thing is, Moyles and Dave are in their 30s so it seems only natural that people of a similar age would relate to them, even if they are outside R1's target demographic. I am 32 and although Wogan does make me laugh, I think things like the fact that he has a member of the clergy on to do a little 'thought for the day' every day (at least I think it's every day) still puts me off becoming a regular listener, and I suspect it would put off other younger people too.
