I went to New York once, I got on a pedalow at the beach at Bude, and this big wave washed me out to sea, there was a passing manure ship which had a dangly anchor, and it caught on my boat and dragged me to New York where I spent a lovely two days at the Seamans resuce mission, as I had failed to pack any nail clippers I got a pair from Lou the retired Crab fisherman from Colerado, when I returned home I found out that Lou's nails had become ingrown and went septic, shortly after an operation to remove two toes, he was walking up forth avenue, when he tripped and fell in the way of a passing snow plough, which was being used to plough snow, luckily the snow protected Lou from the truck but he did end up face down in 14ft of snow with just the stumps from his feet sticking out. When the snow thawed in April all that was left of Lou was his pet cat Alice who survived by eating Lou's flesh.
Buggered if I know where the nail clippers are though !
* this in no way is meant to detract from the obvious tragedy that was 9/11, and I like all of us feel great remorce and grief for those people involved in this terrible episode*
