I have ALWAYS wondered WHY in this country there is such a FUSS over the Winter weather !! We live in a cold country, so why is it that people expect it to be 30 degrees outside in January/February, etc...
Also, why is it that every time there is a hint of bad weather, it's total panic stations (!). The railway system goes down, etc., etc., etc...
I remember being on holiday in Iceland back in 1991 (in December) ... during the night there was a heavy snowfall, the Icelandic people got up, put extra layers of clothes on, efficiently cleared the snow away, and just got on with their day with limited fuss.
In this country, the snow winds up on "Newsbeat".
BTW, there is no snow today in Ayrshire, and your's truly is currently basking in the sunshine.
