Jimmy Saville lives near me, I saw him in Marks and Spencers and got him to record "Jimmy has fixed if for you" onto my phone..................alas said phone went to the big phone scrap heap in the sky a few weeks later.

I still haunt the Marks and Sparks store in the hope that one day I might get a repeat performance.

Motson is terrible these days but Sky have their fair share of rubbish. Ian Darke is terrible as is Alan Parry. Also Alan Smith and that guy who pronounces Portsmouth as two words are shocking.

Lineker is far too smug these days and Lawrenson needs to lay off the jokes. Hansen, Andy Gray, Martin Tyler are all good as are some of the less used ones on Sky such as Chris Kamara.

The BBC has some great people on the radio (Alan Green apart) in fact the BBC Five Live coverage is better than Sky or BBC tv.

I loved the World Cup on the BBC, had High Definition and could switch to 5 live commentary but for the techno idiots who don't think about syncronising the radio commentary to the digital tv which lead to the radio audio being about a second or two ahead of the pictures you're watching which doesn't sound too bad but almost means that your ears are telling your eyes what they're about to see just before it actually happens. I hate it when something that could be the perfect football viewing (for myself at least) falls down on the lack of something so small as applying a 2 second delay to the audio.

Yes, Mr. Ports mouth clearly shows just how much they integrate into the local spirit when they go to commentate for these games.

Just say it right.............Portsmuth

He doesn't - he looks like the clay head the blind girl made of Lionel Ritchie in the "hello" video.

I have to disagree there charararalottie.

which club has held the FA cup for the longest?

I'm presuming it was the team who won it before the "war break" in the 1940's.......... I can't be bothered to google it but at a guess I'm going to go for Preston, or Huddersfield.

Oh ok....... shhhhhhh.... anyway I've now changed my mind, as Mincy's from Porstmouth, I'm going to opt for them. It's one of those meaningless facts that most people know about their own club.

Yes. On in the same spirit, Charlalottie - in 1971 when Leeds United were dominant in English football and a force in Europe, which lowly fourth division club knocked them out of the FA cup?
