He is doing plenty right. Also, just heard that Graham Poll is the ref for the Spurs v L'Arse game tonight. Brilliant.

Anyone pleased /annoyed about Platini becoming UEFA president? I swear I heard him say once that he wants to remove tackling from football to make it more flowing... so that its a non-contact sport

Say he suggested something stupid like that, would they all have to have a vote on it? (UEFA)

he has annoyed ferguson and Wenger already so thats clearly a good sign.

If he annoys Sepp Blatter I will give him money.

He's going back to basics.... limiting the number of teams per country in the Champions league is always a good sign.

By the way, speaking of Sepp Blatter, did you know that his wife is called Fanny?

we didnt stay overnight thats next week.

the match was a bit poo really, rooneys goal was quite good, not that i saw it until i watched it on the tv when i went for a pee at the end, so many annoying chav idiots standing in front of me i had to keep pushing them down the steps slyly to be able to see. we did ok but i was never expecting us to win with cole up front on his own.

the ground its self is nice though, last time i went the corners hadnt been done, but with them it looks very massive. i had the pleasure of driving back, which was unfortunate, as i couldnt seem to find my way onto the m6, and spent about an hour driving around the slu,ms of manchester. i eventually found a way out though.

oh and it did look like a pen from where i was (about a million miles away from teh action) but vidic's header was clearly over the line we all knew that.

According to the Rule Book, it actually is already a non-contact sport. Go figure.

Can't moan about the Vidic "goal", what goes around comes around.

you clearly have the wrong rule book. Show me the law that outlaws contact.

Rooney still hasn't become the player people thought he was. He plays amazing in patches but has never done it consistently. His best form was still towards the tale end of his Everton career and Euro 2004.

Ridiculous amounts of hype and pressure by the media. Also, I guess that L'Arse ares as good as out of the F.A. Cup.

I wouldn't bet on it these days. Arsenal aren't as much of a pushover.

Granted, I've never been but it can't be that difficult? Just find the M60, then the M62 and then straight on the M6? Must be loads of roads to the M60, it's the fooking ringroad.

I will freely admit to not owning one at all - that piece of information, which I found difficult to believe at the time, was given to me by an FA qualified referee. So it's probably completely wrong.

Hes from Portsmouth if they had a ring road they would need a ferry.

All roads lead to Old Trafford. A truth that all will discover eventually.
