I did catch some of it while channel-surfing. I stayed watching it out of curiosity.

Sadly he's also back in the spotlight a bit because he played the Sherrif of Nottingham in BBCs multi-megabucks TV version of Robin Hood

i thought he was the best character in it. I dont really know what else he has done so i am only basing my opinion on that programme.

True, very sadistic and evil. The show got very dark about half way through and he fit in to it well.

Keith Allen was indeed excellent in that - but he will never hold my attention quite so perfectly as the superbly nasty Sir Guy of Gisburn. I liked Richard Armitage far better in Robin Hood than when he married The Vicar of Dibley, where I kept thinking he looked like a grown up Harry Potter. He's fantastic when he's being all evil and slimy though. Ding dong!
