Is it just me, or did the opening song remind you of the Mountain Town song from the beginning of the South Park movie?

It seems an awful lot of money and time was spent something that will essentially only ever be played once..... and at a time in the show when I reckon the listening figures are at it's lowest. It can't be very cost-effective PRS-wise. But still I got to hear it so that's ok, and it was very good.

I'm sure the point is that it will be played every morning at 7am on the dot?! I could be wrong, but i'm sure thats what he ment... We will see...

I think it would get tiresome if we heard it every morning at 7.

Now was today's news scheduled so it would end at 7, just so they could start big with the song like the first morning of breakfast, or are we going to get the news at that time every morning?

It's not just you, I was thinking it was kinda reminiscent of it too.

The song they did for the first ever breakfast show was barely played, I only recall ever hearing it once, and at the time I was commuting between 6.30 and 7.30 daily so heard pretty much all of the shows that year.

I was just saying is all.

I hope we do every morning - it sounded so much better.

I was wondering if maybe the bosses weren't too happy of them going to the news at 7.08 every morning, that they placed it before the show starts.

So people with radio alarm clocks that sync up with GMT, can hear that dead on 7am... Brilliant idea.

Was this played as a one off?

It was played this morning as well, so it isn't a one-off; a two-off, maybe.

I kinda like it at the moment, although I can see it getting old after a while. Perhaps a cut down version could be produced...

Who here, actually listened to the first show? I remember waking up, just before 7. History in the making.

It is long and I agree that hearing it every morning will quickly become tedious. I suspect at the moment Chris is wanting to show off his and the team's handiwork from the Abbey Road sessions. I did assume that a cut-down version will have been produced to play at the start of the show, so perhaps we'll hear that next week.

And I miss the JK and Joel banter too! Also Adam, I too clearly remember listening to the first show, whilst on my way into work.

Lol, I was in the house listening to the radio - it was monumental. I dont think it could be compared to the likes of the assassination of JFK or the Twin Towers collapsing.

I think it sounds like a production number from a musical, and as Chris is on record saying he hates musicals it doesn't make sence.

Also at about 4 minutes long he gets £60 before he even has to say anything,

Having said that this morning my two favorite records at the moment, Ordinary Boys and the view, were played back to back at this time also, then we had 15 minutes of crackin chat about getting Dom a Tart, boys stuff looking at Page 3 etc, and some nice ludity refering to looking at Rachels ring, it's a 35 year old's immature entertainment Oasis if you ask me. !

LOVE IT, ( see it works with Caps )

Agreed. I didn't like it at all, thought it was too long, too slow whereas the old one felt quick and chirpy.

£10,000 for that?!!!!

Just think how many little kids in Africa could be fed with that cash! £10K is an awful lot to waste on a 3 minute ego trip for Moyles. :(

I've heard it a couple of times now and love it - yesterday was driving into work when they played it at a later time - about 8.10? and I sang it at the top of my voice (yes, was in the car by myself!) - arrived at work beaming :)

Also, it is a total rip-off of the CBeebies Happy Christmas song. If any of you are lucky enough to have heard this over the holiday period, try singing it along with the Moyles tune tomorrow. Its exactly the same tune. Maybe Dom wrote it?!
