Just heard the news that the old time Mastermind host Magnus Magnusson has died at 77, even though I don't watch the programme it's a shame to see a such a legend like him give up the ghost, he started so he's now finished.

Didn't you say the same about Open University? You never watched it but you're sorry it's gone?

Not to be confused with Magnús Ver Magnússon, former world's strongest man.

You and ball bag made up then 2 ooh is nearly engaged.

A dead pool is where you make up a syndicate where you all put in a quid a week, based on your own prediction of which celebrity is going to die first, the first who dies collects the pot.

Good Game ! ( My money is currently on Brucie, although the bet was won recently when Sadam went !)

I did but there are the odd times that whenever someone has died or something has gone you then wish you got into it/them after hearing a lot more about the history/career in a short space of time.

Yes it is sad, 77 is very young to die, he was a lovely man, he had such a nice persona, quite unique, cancer does not chose who it takes, and sadly he was the victim of this horrible disease.

I wouldn't say that 77 is very young to die. Both nanny and grandad ballbags were gone before they reached 70. Personally I've I'm still alive and kicking and continue being generally interesting, amusing and sexy at 77, then I'll be a very happy ballbag.

I think it's a great innings.
